Der Samurai Manji wurde verflucht und kann seitdem nicht mehr sterben. Allerdings möchte er lieber mit seiner ermordeten kleinen Schwester Machi vereint im Jenseits sein. Geplagt von der Schuld, dass er seine Schwester nicht beschützen konnte, trifft er nach 50 Jahren auf ein junges Mädchen mit dem Namen Rin. Rin bittet den Samurai um Hilfe, denn ihre Eltern wurden von dem Schwertkämpfer Anotsu getötet.
